The interview discusses school and daily life during the Soviet occupation of Poland, the changing roles of women, sexuality and relationships, religious extremism, the rise of National Socialism in Germany and the arrival of the German army in Wasilków, antisemitic attacks and the burning of the synagogue, fleeing from the Nazis and hiding in Zabłudów, and moving to the Białystok ghetto.
