Holocaust Testimony

The Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre has recorded more than 200 audio-visual testimonies since 1979. Interviews have been conducted with local survivors, 'enemy aliens' internees, rescuers and liberators. The VHEC continues to record and preserve eyewitness testimonies to guarantee the enduring legacy of their invaluable role in Holocaust education.

The VHEC is extremely grateful to the survivors who have shared and continue to share their most personal experiences and reflections. The VHEC would like to acknowledge the many dedicated interviewers, many of whom are survivors or children of survivors, and skilled volunteers who have contributed to each documentation project.

Not all testimonies in the Holocaust testimony collection are available through the online catalogue. Please contact staff by phoning 604-264-0499 or emailing collections@vhec.org for assistance with specific research inquires and to arrange viewing full testimony recordings.
