SynopsisEva B. was born in Vilna [Vilnius, Lithuania] in 1924. She describes her family and their move to Minsk. She recalls their poverty. She describes her parents’ arrests and anti-Jewish regulations. She describes attending school and working in a factory. She recalls the start of the war and being sent to work on a farm. She describes returning to work in a bigger city in a weapons factory. She describes going into hiding in 1948 after losing her identity papers. She describes her marriage and having children. She describes antisemitism and mass killings in Stalinist Russia after the war. She describes her second marriage and immigrating to Israel.
