SynopsisBen F. was born in Tyszowce, Poland on April 18, 1921. He describes his family and life before the war. He recalls experiences of antisemitism. Ben talks about the invasion of Poland and his escape from the city with the help of a neighbour and lieutenant. Ben discusses his family’s deportation to Siberia and his experience in a work camp. He recalls his family was then moved to a collective farm in Kyrgyzstan. Ben describes his experience with the Russian army. He also discusses his brothers in the army and how they saved each other. After the war, Ben moved to Israel and later to Canada. He recalls meeting his wife, who is also a Holocaust survivor.
