DescriptionCross of Honor of the German Mother, 3rd Class Order bronze medal. Blue and white enamelled cross patté​e with black swastika on a white background with bronze sunburst at centre. Back of medal is engraved. A blue and white striped grosgrain ribbon threaded through the top of the cross.

NoteThe Cross of Honor of the German Mother was a civilian order of merit conferred from 1939 until 1945 to mother's who conceived and raised four or more children. The award was used as a propaganda measure to promote National Socialist ideologies of ethnic-nationalism and encourage population growth.

1st Class Order, Gold: mothers of eight or more children
2nd Class Order, Silver: mother of six to seven children
3rd Class Order, Bronze: Mothers of four to five children
