ProvenanceGifted to the Vancouver Holocaust Centre Society in 1993 by Maurice Smith.
The donor wore the badge during his military service. He served in Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry regiment in 1944 during the invasion of Italy before joining the the First Canadian Army during the liberation of the Netherlands in 1945. He was then attached to the British Army and transferred to Paris, France to work on movement control as part of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force.
