DescriptionSilver coloured metal belt buckle with Luftwaffe emblem of wreath with reichsadler eagle with swastika in centre. Surface is textured pebbled finish. Two pronged clasp on reverse.

ProvenanceGifted to the Vancouver Holocaust Centre Society in 1993 by Maurice Smith. 

The belt buckle was acquired by the donor during his military service in Europe.

The donor served in Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry regiment in 1944 during the invasion of Italy before joining the the First Canadian Army during the liberation of the Netherlands in 1945.
