Summary"In an effort to give their children a chance for life, many Jewish parents sent their children into hiding in Christian foster homes during World War II. This [film] focuses on five Jewish war orphans, now all in their fifties and sixties, how they survived the war, and how they all eventually returned to their roots. Included in the video is the amazing story of Halinka, a baby born in the Warsaw Ghetto, whose parents wrapped her in a pillow and threw her over the ghetto wall where she was caught by a Polish policeman and cared for by his family."
