DescriptionCylindrical silver-colored metal canister, inside of which is a rolled up piece of parchment with Hebrew writing. Stored in wax paper envelope with pamphlet of explanation, produced by the Jewish Welfare Board and presented to Jewish soldiers in the US Army.

Mezuzah was used by donor's mother, Shirley Lindy (née Levitt). Lindy was a registered nurse and was given this mezuzah while serving as Lieutenant in the United States Army Nurse Corps from 1942 to 1945.
