DescriptionRectangular paper scrip, 1 krone note. The recto of the item has a geometric pattern in black and green ink on a green background. The front depicts Moses holding 2 stone tablets with the 10 Commandments in Hebrew characters within a medallion on the left, German text on the right. The right side has a wide, off-white border with the denomination “1” in the lower corner and a 6-pointed Star of David above. The verso has a green geometric background design with German text and a decorative scrollwork line. Below the text is an engraved signature. The denomination “1” is in the upper right corner. The left side has a wide, off-white border with the denomination “1” in the lower corner; a 6-pointed Star of David rests in a green, striped circle above the denomination. The plate letter and number can be found in the upper left corner. The item shows a few signs of aging or handling. Deep vertical creases can be found on the currency. Lighter folds or creases are present on the item. The soiled edges of the item display wear from handling, as well as two tears forming at the top and bottom of the deep vertical crease in the center of the scrip. A red stain can be found on the plate number. Small, yellowish stains appear on both sides of the scrip.
