DescriptionTwo postage stamps, one from the Austrian post (left) and one from the German post (right), fixed to a piece of paper with commemorative stamps in German. 

Text above the postage stamps in black ink encouraging voters to support the annexation of Austria (which had been occupied by German troops on March 12, 1938) in a referendum on April 10. The transition to a unified postal system occurred during this period with special postmarks and cards issued to commemorate the referendum.
